WorldRemit launches digital remittance services in Nevada

Digital money transfer service WorldRemit has launched in Nevada, making it the 48th state in the U.S. in which the company operates, according to a press release.

Customers in Nevada can now send funds to family and friends in over 140 destinations around the world as easily as sending an instant message using WorldRemit's mobile app or website.

WorldRemit said in the release that Nevada adds to WorldRemit's continuing reach into both the Mexican and wider Latin American populations.

"Nevada is a richly diverse state and reflective of the inclusivity that WorldRemit strives for," Erick Schneider, head of Latin American at WorldRemit, said in the release. "As remittances from the U.S. to Latin American countries continue to rise, we are proud to equip the large Hispanic community and migrants from around the world in Nevada with the safest and most efficient way to send vital funds to their loved ones."
