Google Pay is now part of FIS' Hosted Payment Page, which provide one-click integration for online merchants using Worldpay from FIS.

The integration means online purchases can be made via express checkout on Google Pay at a time when e-commerce purchases are surging due to COVID-19 restrictions that have forced retailers to close showroom floors and sell through curbside pickup or delivery. 

"Now more than ever, consumers are swiftly moving online for shopping, so deploying quick, secure, user friendly options at online checkout, like Google Pay, will be where merchants can gain and edge in an increasingly competitive market," said Shane Happach, executive vice president, head of global e-commerce, Worldpay Merchant Solutions, FIS, in a press release.

Consumer using Google Pay can complete an online purchase quickly by using biometrics, such as a fingerprint or face scan.
