Wi-Q partners with Opayo for touchless mobile payments

Mobile ordering company wi-Q has partnered with payments provide Opayo to deliver touchless mobile payments, according to a press release.

Opayo, which is owned by Elavon, provides both fraud prevention tools and fast payments with 99.99% gateway reliability. Wi-Q, on the other hand, offers its mobile ordering platform in the cloud, so operators don't have to download an app. Guests simply have to scan a QR code or an SSID redirect when they log on to a venue's Wi-Fi.

The company also provides a management dashboard which can edit menus in real-time and offer intelligent customer data analysis, according the release.

"Wi-Q has been purposefully designed to be responsive to our customers' needs, and integration with leading ePOS and payment providers is a big part of this," Graham Cornhill, founder, wi-Q, said in the release. "It is fantastic to have Opayo onboard. Not only does this partnership support our effort to meet the contact-free needs of the current market, but it means our customers can benefit from top-of-the-range payment solutions. This protection is vital given the increasing reliance on the mobile ordering revenue stream."
