Venmo expands instant transfer feature to bank accounts for small fee
Venmo, the mobile wallet service owned by PayPal Inc., said that customers can now make instant money transfers from the app to their bank accounts for a small fee, according to a blogpost.
The announcement follows the original January 2018 launch of Venmo's instant transfer feature to allow customers to send money to their Visa and Mastercard debit cards for a 1% fee, with a minimum fee starting at 25 cents and the maximum fee topping out at $10.
The new bank transfer feature will charge the same fee, however, customers will still be able to make standard 1-3 day transfers for no charge.
