UATP, Chase Pay enter deal to pay it easier for airlines to accept contactless

UATP, the payment network for the airline industry, has entered an agreement with Chase to enable a network-wide connection with Chase Pay, making it easier for carriers to accept the payment option on their own websites and mobile apps.

Chase Pay allows bank customers to pay using a mobile app, through a website or at a merchant POS, according to a press release.

Ralph Kaiser, president and CEO of UATP, said the agreement will make it easier for member airlines to accept new payment types, and some of these carriers have asked for the ability to accept Chase Pay.
