Standard Chartered, Linklogis completes supply chain financing transaction

Standard Charted Plc, an international banking group and Linklogis, a supply chain financing company, recently completed a blockchain supply chain transaction for Digital Guangdong, a joint venture between Tencent, China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile. The companies used Linklogis' WeQChain platform based on Tencent's blockchain technology to power the supply chain financing transaction, according to a press release.

Through this trial, Standard Chartered was able to deliver a transparent information into Digital Guangdong's entire supply chain, beyond its direct suppliers. Standard Chartered and Linklogis are looking to expand this solution to other supply chain ecosystems.

"Our clients today have to compete not just on their individual strength, but also on the combined strength of their ecosystems. Standard Chartered has always been committed to helping our clients create a healthy and sustainable ecosystem," Xie Wen, head of commercial banking China, Standard Chartered, said in the release. "Through our cooperation with Linklogis, and by leveraging blockchain technology, we will be able to offer our clients a distinct service to empower their ecosystems."
