Shopify has launched its integration with Google Pay on Shopify stores to enable hundreds of millions of shoppers to experience mobile checkout at participating merchants, according to a press release.

"Shopify is always looking for ways to arm our merchants with tools to provide the best customers experiences, and by enabling Google Pay across our entire platform, we are helping our merchants tackle one of the toughest challenges in the industry — cart abandonment," Mohammad Hashemi, general manager of Shopify's financial services, said in the release.

Google Pay is available to all Shopify merchants using Shopify Payments.

Google earlier this year rebranded Android Pay as Google Pay to better align its mobile payments brand.
