Shell adds Chase Pay at the gas pump

Shell customers now can use Chase Pay to pay at the pump and in the store at some 10,000 participating Shell branded retail stations in the U.S., according to a press release.

Shell customers also have the option to use the company's mobile app to make purchases.

When using the Shell app or Chase Pay app to fill up, customers simply pull up to the pump, enter their pump number, and receive a 3-digit code to enter into the dispenser to refuel.

Customers using mobile payments through the Shell app or the Chase Pay app, at participating Shell branded stations in the U.S., have the opportunity to receive unique rewards through Chase's Ultimate Rewards and the Fuel Rewards program.

Shell said it has worked with a variety of companies, including Cybera, Epsilon, Excentus and point-of-sale vendors to bring this new digital ecosystem to life.
