Seoul, South Korea to set up blockchain system to award citizens
The Metropolitan Government of Seoul, South Korea plans to set up a blockchain services arm in November. The service will reward citizens tokens called S-coins for using public services, according to a report by The South African.
Citizens will be able to redeem these S-coins for various reward such as paying taxes or participating in public opinion polls. The government plans to use ZeroPay, a QR-code powered network to implement the system.
The government also plans to implement blockchain services to submit qualifications without paperwork as well as digital authentication solutions, according to the report.
