Revolut partners with Doctor's Without Borders to fight COVID-19

U.K.-based fintech Revolut is partnering with Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders to support communities impacted by COVID-19. Customers in European Economic Opportunity countries will be able to make donations to the group through the app.

The organization has been working on the frontlines of the outbreak, from Italy to major war zones in Yemen and Syria and refugee camps in South Sudan and Bangladesh.

"During these turbulent times, it is deeply encouraging to see this massive wave of solidarity and we're confident that our community of generous customers will appreciate the opportunity to donate and support those affected by coronavirus," Nik Storonsky, founder and CEO of Revolut, said in a press release. "We're thankful that we could set up the partnership with Medicins San Frontieres in a matter of days in order to help those that are affected, and look forward to working together to provide as much support as possible."

The donation feature in the app allows users to round up card payments and donate the difference to charity.
