Dallas-based Qube Processing is promoting a solution that is both secure and backed with 24-hour service.

Like other mPOS providers, the solution from Qube works by turning a smartphone or tablet into a point-of-sale terminal. However, Qube's secure reader connects via the data port on iOS devices or through Bluetooth with Android devices.

Additionally, instead of a flat-rate pricing scheme, which often means small merchants pay a relatively high rate for processing transcations, Qube provides custom pricing to each merchant.
