PreCash brings mobile bill pay to prepaid accounts

Houston, Texas-based PreCash announced a new agreement with Sprint Prepaid Group to develop a mobile bill payment app for Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile USA. According to the announcement, the app will let no-contract customers make bill payments for a host of services like utilities and cable directly from their cell phones.

"PreCash has been processing bill payments for wireless carriers and other billers for more than ten years, and we are excited about this opportunity to expand our relationship with Sprint to help the no-contract brands penetrate the emerging mobile wallet market," said Steve Taylor, CEO, PreCash.

Taylor called the relationship a milestone for PreCash and is a part of the company's strategy to leverage its bill payment processing technology and experience in the wireless industry to help other companies deliver a complete mobile financial experience to customers.

Pre Cash said the app works with both Visa or MasterCard branded credit and debit cards making it easy to adopt. The app will be available in March 2012.
