Postmates signs multi-year deal for mobile concession ordering at Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers entered a multi-year agreement with Postmates to let fans order food and beverages from their seats during games and pick up their orders at designated Postmates Pickup locations around the stadium, according to a blogpost.

The companies will use the Postmates Live on-demand ordering technology along with Levy to launch the mobile-ordering service in the Top Deck section of Dodger Stadium for the rest of this season and then expand to the entire stadium in 2020.

"At Dodger Stadium we’re always looking for ways to enhance the gameday experience, Michael Wandell, senior vice president of global partnerships for the Dodgers, said in a company release. "In partnership with Postmates, we have co-authored the most dynamic and innovative mobile ordering platform in professional sports."

Fans need to download the Postmates app on their mobile phones to place the order. They will pay within the app and receive a text notification about when and where to pick up their orders.

Postmates in March announced the same service with AEG for use at music festivals like Coachella.
