Paysafe launches Skrill money transfer in US

Paysafe, a U.K.-based digital payments platform, has announced the U.S. launch of its Skrill Money Transfer service.

The service, which originally launched in Europe in 2018, allows customers to make transfers from their personal bank accounts using ACH or using debit or credit cards in order to send funds to friends and family overseas, according to a press release.

"There has never been a more important time for remittance services, and we're proud to bring Skrill Money Transfer to U.S. consumers, who send more money overseas to friends and family than anyone else in the world," said Lorenzo Pellegrino, CEO of Skrill, Neteller and Income Access at Paysafe, in the release. "New Americans and expats with connections overseas will now be able to send their loved ones much needed help."

Skrill previously announced the Skrill USA Visa Prepaid card in January.
