MEF m-commerce trade association elects EMEA, Asia boards

MEF, the London-based mobile content and commerce association, has announced the results of its board election, which took place at the 2014 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Darren Foulds, head of U.K-based Barclays' mobile banking operation and its Pingit mobile payments business, was elected EMEA chair for MEF.

Pietro Catello, Buongiorno's regional managing director, and Chris Davies, InMobi's general counsel EMEA and head of privacy, were elected as co-vice chairs for MEF's EMEA Chapter.

MEF says that newly elected EMEA directors include Johan Lindstrom, MasterCard's vice president of digital commerce, Europe; Yannick Debaupte, Nokia's developer relations director, Europe; Ken Murphy, RealNetworks' area vice president and managing director EMEA; and Oliver Nitz, Viacom's SVP mobile brand licensing North and International.

Other EMEA board members for 2014/2015 include Gertjan Rösken, CTO of m-commerce company MyOrder, which was bought by Rabobank in 2012, and Colin Yeh, senior director, group innovations and partnerships at Ooredoo.

Colin Miles, InternetQ's vice president of corporate marketing, was re-elected as chair of MEF's Asia Chapter, with Dippak Khurana, Vserv.mobi's founder and CEO, elected as new vice chair.

Incumbent Asia Chapter directors from MassiveImpact, Maxis Communications, Nazara Technologies and One97 Communications are joined by new directors including Ravi Rajagopalan, Empays Payment Systems' CEO; Raj Dhamodharan, MasterCard's regional head of Mobile and E-commerce APAC and MENA; Lito Villanueva, SMART E-money's head of innovation, ecosystem build and global engagements; and Sissel Henriette Larsen from Telenor Digital's Business Units Asia.
