Bluefin Payment Systems, a financial technology provider of integrated payment solutions for software vendors, and Medtask, a cloud-based provider of practice management solutions for the medical industry, have partnered to provide integrated payment processing within the Medtask practice management platform.

Bluefin's payment platform, PayConex, features credit/debit/ACH processing with security features such as transparent redirect, tokenization and point-to-point encryption, the company said. Merchants can accept payments through the PayConex virtual terminal, at point of sale, online using the company's hosted payment page or through a mobile phone or tablet.

Medtask is billed as an all-in-one practice management solution that lets doctors focus on patients. The company provides cloud-based services including scheduling, billing, reporting, e-eligibility, e-remittance and electronic health records. Medtask customers can manage their practice from any computer at any time.

Through the partnership, Medtask clients can now process patient payments within the software interface, set up recurring patient payment plans, secure transactions with tokenization and get a PCI-DSS compliant "card on file" solution, the release said. Additionally, robust reporting provides practices with vital data to better manage day-to-day revenue.
