Check, a mobile bill-payment app from Intuit Inc., introduced a new app for iOS 8 as well as what the company calls its biggest update for iPad in the last two years.

With iOS8, Check adds new features that enhance customers’ experience, allowing them to:

• Add the Check widget to the Notifications Center so they can quickly view bills and pay them with a single tap. Customers can add Check by tapping “Edit” at the bottom of the Today view in the Notifications Center.
• Unlock Check with their fingerprint on devices that support Touch ID. This provides a faster, easier, and uniquely secure way for customers to access their Check accounts.

The updated Check app for iPad includes:

• A new, modern design, a simpler, centralized home screen and revamped bills navigation.
• Several features from the mobile app, including:
  • Scheduling bill payments.
  • Manually marking bills as “paid.”
  • Expediting bill payments.
  • Snapping a photo of your credit card vs. manually entering it in to pay bills.
