Ingenico Group announced Thursday that Moneris Solutions Corp., Canada's largest credit and debit card processor, has selected Ingenico to deploy Canada's first EMV and contactless mobile product, according to a press release. This announcement follows Ingenico's deployment of Ingenico's Telium 2 range of products across Moneris' national network in the first half of 2014.  

PAYD PRO, which combines elements from Ingenico and Moneris, enables merchants to use smartphones and tablets to accept both Interac debit and credit card payments via EMV chip-and-PIN, swipe and contactless acceptance technology, according to the announcement.

The product is currently available on the Apple iOS platform and will be available on Android in fall 2014.
