Heartland's Mobuyle iOS payment solution now available

Mobuyle mobile payment acceptance solution is now available on Apple iOS mobile devices, Heartland Payment Systems announced today. The app enables merchants to accept credit, debit and gift card payments on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The Mobuyle app is free, but to use it, existing Heartland card merchants must buy a Mobuyle Encrypting Card Reader from Heartland. Merchants just plug the reader into an Apple mobile device audio jack and swipe cards to process transactions from anywhere in the U.S.

Mobuyle provides full payment acceptance functionality (credit, debit, gift, etc.), as well as features that include the ability to void sales, process returns, settle batches, run reports, and process mail/telephone and e-commerce orders. Mobuyle also provides Store and Forward functionality, which allows merchants to accept payments even when cell and WiFi access are unavailable.

Mobuyle secures payment data with AES encryption for PCI compliance. Transaction data is encrypted from start to finish; sensitive cardholder data is never stored on the Apple device.

"[M]erchants need to fully engage with customers beyond the cash register and Mobuyle provides a perfect solution," said Mike English, Heartland's executive director of product development. "Not only is it simple to use while expanding sales and business opportunities for merchants, it also improves the customer experience, which should lead to repeat visits by customers."
