Girl Scouts partner with GrubHub to deliver contact-free cookies

It's Girl Scout cookie time again but like many events that have been changed by the coronavirus restrictions, there won't be any scouts selling door-to-door this year. Instead, the Girl Scouts have gone virtual with an online cookie booth and partnered up with Grubhub in select cities to accept orders, payment and fulfill the cookie orders contact-free, according to a report on KYW Newsradio.

Buyers can go to the Girl Scouts website, where it directs consumers to find a troop based on ZIP code to order cookies or order them online and opt for curbside pickup, shipping, or where available, Grubhub. The partnership with the online food delivery service gives local troops experience in entrepreneurship by tracking orders and managing inventory while using Grubhub's back-end technology.

Grubhub is waiving all fees for the organization and it is also offering free delivery on cookie orders through Valentine's Day with a minimum purchase of $15.
