TransferWise and Estonia's largest domestic bank, LHV, Monday announced a partnership that provides TransferWise's international money transfer service to LHV customers integrated directly within LHV mobile application, according to a press release.

This partnership marks the launch of TransferWise's API. This means that the international money platform can be integrated into almost any digital user experience, including, for example, banks, instant messaging applications, e-wallets, international e-commerce marketplaces (vacation homes, freelancers, etc.), and mobile carriers, according to the announcement.

LHV bank customers will be able to access TransferWise's money transfer service via the LHV mobile app, which is coming to iOS and Android in the beginning of 2016, and via the LHV Internet bank soon after that. An exclusive preview of the iOS app is available for download in the App Store.

"LHV is the first bank in the world to provide TransferWise's transparent and easy-to-use international money transfer services within their service portfolio," Taavet Hinrikus, CEO of TransferWise, said in a statement. "That means that its customers can save on the hidden charges that are so common in the industry. This partnership is a significant milestone for the whole financial sector."
