Doxo, a Seattle-based company that provides an "all-in-one digital file cabinet" as well as online payment solutions, has announced the launch a new single-click mobile payment solution. It's also adding an Android version of its doxo Mobile app to its existing iPhone offering. Both versions of the app include a mobile bill payment and management solution called doxoPay that lets users receive and pay their bills from their mobile devices, either smartphones or tablets.

"The doxo mission is to massively simplify the experience of interacting with providers and paying bills," said doxo CEO Steve Shivers. "The new capabilities of our mobile app make bill paying simpler than ever. So simple, in fact, that doxo users are paying their bills an average of 10 days sooner than they would through traditional mail."

The company's app takes the hassle out of bill payment, and provides a free service for businesses to offer to their customers, without having to develop an app in-house, Shivers said.

The company said its services provide added incentive for consumers to go paperless, since it's impractical for customers to download all the mobile apps for every service provider they deal with. Businesses using doxo's services save 80 percent or more on mailing a document and receiving a payment, doxo said.

With doxoPAY, users can choose to receive and pay bills through a single account, meaning only one app to log into (and one username and password combo to remember). The doxo account is free and lets users put all their household accounts and documents in one place where they can be accessed and viewed. The company boasts a growing list of service providers nationwide including wireless providers like AT&T and Sprint, and utility companies like Puget Sound Energy and Kansas City Power and Light

Along with bill management and payment options, users can also store account information, notes and important documents. They can even take pictures of important documents and receipts to store in their digital file cabinet. Plus doxo can automatically back up users' documents like insurance policies or  marriage licenses directly to their hard drive or cloud storage services like Dropbox.
