Customers using the Discover Cashback Debit card can now add their card to Apple Pay to make payments in participating stores, apps and websites, according to a press release.

"Enabling Apple Pay for Discover Cashback Debit is a key step to ensure our customers are able to use their checking account in channels of their choice, including their mobile devices," said Arijit Roy, vice president of Deposits at Discover, in the release.

Customers will continue to receive 1 percent cashback on up to $3,000 in qualifying debit card purchases.
