DaVinci Payments names Josephs as CEO, succeeding Imai

DaVinci Payments, a specialist in corporate-funded payments for employees, customers, contractors and others, has named David Josephs as its chief executive officer. He'll take day-to-day control March 30, succeeding Braven Imai, who is retiring.

The company has been searching for a new CEO since last fall, when he informed the company board of his retirement plans following a 20-year  tenure with the company.

"David's experience in next-generation branded global payments aligns perfectly with our digital and global strategy that delivered exponential growth for DaVinci the last few years," Juli Spottiswood, chairman of the firm said in a company press release. "Additionally, David's vast experience in product development and commercialization supports daVinci's innovative culture and is well suited to take the company to the next level."

Josephs led prepaid business at JPMorgan Chase for almost ten years, and the past five years has runDebit and Prepaid in North America at Visa.

"I am thrilled to be joining DaVinci Payments' exceptional team," Josephs said. "The focus on innovation in payments and bringing greater value to its customers is what attracted me to the company."
