An enhanced agreement between myPOS Europe Ltd. and Belgium’s Bancontact Payconiq Co. announced today means myPOS clients can accept online payments from Bancontact cards using PayButton, PayLink or myPOS checkout, according to a press release.

Bancontact is the most popular electronic payments service in Belgium and processes debit card payments through shops, gas stations, vending machines and online purchases. Bancontact, in March 2018, merged with mobile payments platform Payconiq to form the new company.

The myPOS partnership began in 2017 when myPOS devices located across the EEA began to accept Bancontact card payments, according to the release. In an average month, myPOS processes about 38,000 Bancontact payments across more than 20 different European countries.
