Bistro Planet in Woodland Hills, California has developed an app that enables customers to locate food trucks in real-time, view their menus and prices, order and pay, according to the Pasadena Star-News.

"The nice thing about food trucks is that they move around town," said Roie Edry, Bistro Planet's co-founder and CEO. "People want convenience, but they also want variety. This app will detect where you are and it will show you which trucks will be nearby at lunchtime or even in the morning. It gives you a lot of choices and flexibility, and you can order online instead of waiting outside in 100-degree weather like today."

The app can be found in the app store on Apple iPhones or on Android phones.

Bistro Planet already has more than 200 Los Angeles-area food trucks registered on its platform and about 5,000 customers. Customers can order online and not have to wait when they go to pick up.
