AnywhereCommerce EMV mPOS devices certified by First Data
AnywhereCommerce, an mPOS solutions provider, has announced that its Walker chip-and-signature and Nomad chip-and-PIN acceptance devices have achieved end-to-end certification with the First Data Rapid Connect program. The devices are also EMVCo-certified, a press release said.
The certification covers the AnywhereCommerce mSuite solution set, including card readers, an mPOS payment application, SDKs and integration tools, and a gateway and management system — in short, everything a business needs to integrate EMV into mobile and tablet POS solutions, the company said.
The mSuite solution includes the Walker chip-and-signature device that employs AnywhereCommerce's patented audio jack connectivity as well as the Nomad chip-and-PIN device that uses Bluetooth to communicate.
"Certifying the Walker and Nomad devices with First Data results in a robust EMV mobile solution," said AnywhereCommerce President and CEO William Nichols. "EMV complicates the certification process, and that's where our expertise and end-to-end product portfolio combine to deliver ISOs, ISVs and merchants a smooth transition to chip acceptance."
ISOs, ISVs and VARs can integrate the Walker or Nomad devices into their mPOS products and immediately offer an end-to-end certified solution connected to First Data, the release said.
