PayPal-owned person-to-person mobile app Venmo Wednesday announced that select users now have the ability to use its service to pay for event tickets on Gametime and to have gourmet meals delivered to them on Munchery, according to a company blog post. 

"We've only made this feature available to select users, but don't fret," Venmo wrote in a blog post. "We'll continue to add new users regularly and will email you as soon as your number comes up. In the meantime, stay tuned for more information about our general public release.

Venmo said it plans to add more merchants and funtionality to the app itself.

To use Venmo with Gametime or Munchery, consumers tap the Venmo button within a merchant's app.

"Your Venmo account will be instantly connected to the app and you will be all set to pay without the hassle of reentering your payment information," Venmo wrote in the blog post. 

Venmo said that for the time being, this feature will be available only in iOS apps.
