ARBA Retail Systems, a point-of-sale software developer for retail and food services industries, has announced the launch of a new mobile point-of-sale product built specifically for the Microsoft Surface tablet series, according to a press release. The company said in an announcement that its retail management software is compatible with the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet.

The cafeteria version of the POS product, ARBA CAFE, is a customized for corporate cafeterias, hospital cafeterias and school/college cafeterias, according to the annoucement. The retail version is designed for both single unit and chain stores. The software is built on the latest Microsoft technologies, .NET and MS SQL Server, and compatible with the latest Microsoft OS in Windows 8.
