Powa, iPayment team on new tablet POS suite

Banq POS is intended to provide retail, restaurant and service-based merchants with a full-feature tablet POS product.

Powa Technologies this past week announced that iPayment's new cloud-based POS software, Banq POS, available April 15, will be bundled with its next generation PowaPOS T25 tablet-based hardware, according to a press release.

With this new product bundle, Powa said in the announcement, iPayment leverages its small business expertise to provide retail, restaurant and service-based merchants with a full-feature tablet POS solution to run their business. The new Banq POS solution, powered by PowaPOS, will be featured in iPayment’s booth 509 at ETA TRANSACT 15, where qualified resellers can take advantage of a limited time promotion to earn a free PowaPOS T25.

"IPayment understands the business needs of the U.S. small business owner, building on its base of 150,000 merchants," said Michael Struttmann, senior vice presisent and general manager of North America for PowaPOS. "With this pedigree, the iPayment team recognized the need in the marketplace for fully integrated and easy to use tablet-based POS solutions, and, much like the leadership team at PowaPOS, applied their extensive industry knowledge to rolling out a best-in-class POS solution in Banq POS."
