PayPal APAC launches Mo.bi.pay mobile optimization tool
To help small-to-medium businesses optimize their website for mobile sales, PayPal Asia Pacific has released Mo.bi.pay (mobile built-in payments).
Developed by PayPal’s Vertical Solutions team in Singapore, Mo.bi.pay makes it easier for customers to browse through products and make purchases, according to the company.
When buyers have problems browsing, purchasing and checking out on their mobile devices, orders ultimately drop off, Kris Chen, PayPal’s regional head of SMB, APAC, said in a news release.
"Merchants with mobile-optimized websites are experiencing more than 245 percent year-over-year growth on mobile total payments volume," Chen said. "By contrast, merchants who haven't optimized their sites have seen only 118 percent growth."
