NRA releases mobile payments guide for restaurateurs

The 'guide will provide a roadmap' for restaurant owners and operators interested in implementing mobile payments into their business, NRA official says.

The National Restaurant Association has released a guide focused on the future of mobile payments technology and its important growth in the restaurant industry, according to a recent report. The guide is titled, "Mobile Invasion: Mobile Payments in Restaurants" and focuses on research and tools that help restaurant owners understand the advantages of implementing mobile payments in order to grow their business.

"Mobile technology is a new frontier for the restaurant industry," Phil Kafarakis, the NRA’s Chief Innovation and Advancement Officer, said in the release. "With nearly two thirds of all Americans owning a smartphone it's important, now more than ever, that our industry find ways to leverage the power of mobile. Our guide will provide a roadmap for restaurateurs navigating the mobile environment."

For NRA members, according to the report, the guide is free and was produced by the NRA in collaboration with payment and mobile loyalty company LevelUP, with content advice from Heartland.
