Bharti Airtel partnership with Uber in India enables mobile wallet payments
Riders in the country can pay for their trips with Airtel’s mobile wallet, Airtel Money.
Ride-sharing app Uber this past week announced a partnership with India's Bharti Airtel that will enable riders in the country to pay for their trips with Airtel’s mobile wallet, Airtel Money.
Mubai citizens also will be the first in India to enjoy free high-speed internet from Uber, powered by Airtel 4G.
"Our partnership with Uber is directly in line with our commitment to offer innovative and relevant services for our customers," said Srini Gopalan, director of consumer business for Bharti Airtel. "Now, Uber riders can enjoy the convenience of paying through their Airtel Money wallets, while also experiencing the power of blazing internet speeds with Airtel 4G on the move."
For a limited time, new Uber riders who top up their Airtel Money wallet can earn up to 500 rupees for free.
