Australian supermarket chain Coles is giving banks in the nation a run for their money with its latest investment in financial services, a mobile sticker and loyalty app. Coles also announed a pending joint venture with GE Capital for consumer loans, according to multiple reports.

Consumers attach the sticker to a phone and collect miles through what is called the FlyBuys loyalty program. While some news outlets are calling it a mobile wallet, consumers do not use an app to make payments or check rewards.
