Amex partners with NBA's Nets for mobile payments

Fans can access the Brooklyn eWallet through the team's official app.

Fans attending Nets games at the Barclays Center in downtown Brooklyn now can pay for concessions through the team's official mobile app thanks to a partnership with American Express.

Users can acess the Brooklyn eWallet through the team app and add up to 10 credit or debit cards to use as a funding source for purchases. When it's time to pay for a purchase, fans tap the "make a purchase" option in the app and then scan a QR code generated at the cash register.

"Visitors to Barclays Center are constantly using their smartphones around the venue," said Joanna Lambert, American Express' senior vice president of product development and management. "Now with the eWallet, they can easily and quickly buy food and drinks while interacting with digital content served up by American Express and the Nets."
