YESpay partners with PMC for secure point-of-sale mobile payments

YESpay International has formed a strategic partnership with retail technology specialist PMC to provide a PCI-compliant mobile payment application for retailers.

YESpay, which develops payment card software applications, is based in Barnet, London, and has offices in Toronto and India. It was recently acquired by international payment processor WorldPay.

YESpay is providing its YESpay SaaS P2PE (software-as-a-service point-to-point encryption) encrypted mobile payment platform for U.K.-based PMC's Store Enabler mobile application. Store Enabler allows retailers to deploy their existing in-store POS and e-commerce systems on any Android or iOS-based mobile device in their stores, with full capabilities to scan products, print receipts and take secure mobile payments where required in a card-present environment.

Because YESpay's mobile payments software uses point-to-point encryption technology to encrypt cardholder information from the moment a card is scanned, it reduces a retailer's PCI compliance liability, PMC said in a press release.

Retailers using Store Enabler have the option of implementing the full suite of YESpay's omnichannel P2PE-based payments platform, the company said.

"Taking secure, PCI-compliant customer-present transactions is essential for all mobile solutions," PMC CEO Paul Mason said. "However, it can be a challenge. The YESpay solution overcomes that challenge and gives retailers a wide choice of pre-accredited payment devices to select from."
