Gemini, the crypto exchange founded by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, has named Julian Sawyer, the former co-founder and COO of Starling Bank, to lead its European expansion, according to a blogpost. 

Sawyer, armed with the title of managing director of the U.K. and Europe at Gemini, previously oversaw Starling's business operations, including payment systems, card operations and customer support. 

He previously launched financial management consultancy Bluerock Consulting, before selling that business in 2012.
