Facebook reportedly is prepping to roll out its WhatsApp payment services in India as early as next week, according to a report from Bloomberg.

WhatsApp is set to work with three banks in the region: HDFC Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and Axis Bank Ltd. 

Bloomberg reported that the State Bank of India also will get involved with WhatsApp Pay once it links its systems to the popular mobile messaging app.

Some 200 million Indians already use WhatsApp for messaging, according to the report.
