Walmart to roll out InHome Delivery for groceries in 3 US markets

Walmart announced it will rollout its long anticipated home delivery service where it will send online grocery orders and put them directly in a customer’s refrigerator, in a post by Marc Lore, president and CEO of the company's U.S. eCommerce business.

Under the new InHome Delivery program, a Walmart associate will use smart entry technology and a proprietary, wearable camera to access a customer’s home when they are not home and put their grocery orders in the fridge.

Customers will be able to control access to their homes and watch the actual delivery.

InHome will launch this fall to more than a million customers in three U.S. cities, including Kansas City, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Vero Beach, Florida.

Later this year, customers will be able to return items purchased on Walmart.com through the InHome service
