Wallaby brings PFM app to Apple Watch

The new app will enable Apple Watch users to optimize credit card rewards for each purchase with a simple tap of the wrist.

Wallaby Financial, which provides mobile and Web-based credit card optimization products, today announced the launch of Wallaby for Apple Watch. The new app will enable Apple Watch users to optimize credit card rewards for each purchase with a simple tap of the wrist, according to a press release. Users will be able to download the app immediately upon unboxing their new Apple Watch, and can access it for free by creating a Wallaby account.

"Earning credit card rewards shouldn't be a hassle," said Wallaby Founder and CEO Matthew Goldman. "The Apple Watch will make it simpler and less intrusive than ever to optimize rewards on every purchase, and will keep vital information such as credit balances handy to help consumers avoid fees."

Wallaby's credit card optimization apps also are available for Android Wear, Pebble, and Samsung devices.

Wallaby said its Apple Watch app brings consumers the power and accuracy of CardBase, the company's proprietary database of more than 2,500 credit card profiles, according to announcement. Wallaby for Apple Watch recognizes the user's location and automatically serves up an unbiased recommendation on which credit card the consumer should use for a given purchase. Suggestions are based on the user's preferences, whether these are to gain more rewards or cash back on purchases. Through Apple Watch, consumers can access card recommendations, current credit use and available credit balances quickly and securely.

After installing Wallaby on their Apple Watch, users launch the app and immediately see which of their credit cards is best to use for a given transaction. The app recognizes the user's location and provides an instantaneous recommendation to help users achieve their financial goals, according to the announcement.
