Video Internet provider UPC Hungary chooses DIMOCO for carrier billing
The company will handle UPC Hungary's premium SMS transaction volume whenever consumers use premium SMS to buy their digital content.
Video Internet and telephony provider UPC Hungary has appointed direct carrier biller DIMOCO as its partner for the technical implementation of mobile-payment services across its mobile offering, according to a press release.
As part of the agreement, DIMOCO will handle UPC Hungary's premium SMS transaction volume whenever consumers use premium SMS to buy their digital content.
"With DIMOCO, we have found a reliable and experienced premium SMS partner," Zoltan Csaszar, mobile vice president of UPC Hungary, said in a statement. "As a virtual mobile network operator, this is exactly the kind of dynamic support we need."
UPC Hungary said part of the reason it chose to partner with a direct carrier biller is because it is now a virtual mobile network operator. The move gives the company's customers a way to pay for premium content, according to the announcment.
"Since our company was founded in the year 2000, we have been working intensively on expanding our carrier billing and mobile messaging hub," Gerald Tauchner, DIMOCO founder and CEO, said in a statement. "All company SMS and payment transactions are processed here. We have also become one of the network operators’ leading integration partners. We are delighted to have won UPC Hungary as a new partner."
