txtNation to provide direct carrier billing services

Mobile billing provider and SMS aggregator txtNation announced its direct carrier billing services are now available to providers looking to monetize their content and digital services. The company also announced services will be deployed first in Ireland and that partnerships with O2 and Vodafone have already been announced. Additional markets and wireless networks will be added later this year.

Michael Whelan, director of txtNation, said the company has big plans.

"Charging directly to the phone bill with no SMS message, no short codes, no forms to fill out and no repeat clicking, reduces barriers to completing the purchase, putting the power into the customers’ hands and providing them with what they want, when they want," Whelan said.

According to the company's announcement, no other payment experience allows for a true one click purchase like direct carrier billing. The company said complete visibility, more flexible charging, higher payouts, less revenue leakage and simple customer care were why txtNation is backing direct carrier billing.
