Tim Hortons franchisees seek to delay mobile ordering

Tim Hortons franchisees are attempting to delay the release of the chain's new mobile ordering app because they believe not enough testing has been done.

The Globe and Mail has received documents that show that the Great White North Franchisee Association reportedly sent a letter to Tim Hortons on March 21 to relay concerns about testing and staff training.

Restaurant Brands International, which owns Tim Hortons, said in January that it planned to launch mobile ordering this spring to better compete with Starbucks. As of late December, Tim Hortons was testing the app at 25 locations in Ontario. The chain has some 4,000 locations in Canada.
