TeleSign to provide Orange with mobile identity services

The companies said the new partnership brings together TeleSign's portfolio of authentication and mobile identity products with Orange's unique insights about its network and subscribers.

TeleSign, a mobile identity company, today announced a new agreement with Orange, one of the world’s leading telecommunications operators, to deliver mobile identity and fraud prevention services this year.

The companies said in a press release that the new partnership brings together TeleSign's portfolio of authentication and mobile identity products with Orange's unique insights about its network and subscribers. This combination is intended to lead to the delivery of enhanced mobile identity services and fraud prevention offerings that provide increased security for online account creation and ongoing account access.

The partnership in intended to protect consumers from account compromise, falsely declined payments, and the fraud and spam associated with fake users.

The companies expect to roll out the services across several Orange properties this year, covering millions of mobile subscribers.
