Taxes go mobile with H&R Block and Pageonce partnership
As personal finance goes mobile it was only a matter of time before taxes followed suit. Pageonce, a provider of mobile personal finance services and bill payment, and H&R Block announced the launch of a new mobile tax service available through H&R Block's online tax center using the Pageonce Money & Bills mobile app.
"H&R Block's clients are using their mobile devices more every day," said Jason Houseworth, president of digital tax solutions for H&R Block. "By partnering with Pageonce we are enabling our clients to find answers to all their tax questions, file a tax return, and obtain a full picture of their money financial situation right from their mobile device in a secure environment."
With the new app, users can either register for H&R Block At Home, the company's online product that includes a free edition for simple tax solution, or file a free federal Form 1040EZ and state tax return using their smartphone app through Feb. 29. And for those who want face-to-face interaction, or whose taxes may require something more than a 1040EZ form, the app lets users locate a nearby H&R Block office and even make an appointment with a tax professional.
For completing taxes quickly, the Pageonce Money & Bills app gives users control of their finances by automatically tracking financial accounts like banks and credit card accounts, bills and investments inside the application. Bill payers can also receive alerts when bills are due and pay them using the app.
The Pageonce Money & Bills app has security features to ensure financial information is safe. Features include password or PIN protection, the ability to restrict access to a specific device, and the ability to completely block mobile access in case a device is lost or stolen.
"We're always working to make everyday finances simple, so users can take care of business and move on," said Guy Goldstein, CEO and founder, Pageonce. "Working with H&R Block gives our users access to a single source for tax preparation and online tax services, from the convenience of their mobile device."
