TableSafe Inc., which provides pay-at-the-table technology for table service restaurants, has announced the EMV certification of its Rail payment platform with First Data Corp. (NYSE: FDC), according to a press release.

TableSafe's platform can now be used to process transactions at the table with the security of First Data's EMV standards.

"By certifying TableSafe’s platform with First Data's EMV standards, we're delivering on our commitment to provide the restaurant industry with the most secure and efficient payment solution for full service restaurants," Gordon Gardiner, CEO of TableSafe, said in the press release. "With the addition of First Data EMV support, our secure payment platform results in greater peace of mind for both the merchant and the guest."

TableSafe said its platform is currently being used at many restaurants across the country, but did not identify those merchants in the press release.
