Square intros Square App Marketplace

The business applications are meant to sync with any Square account.

Square today launched Square App Marketplace, a destination for sellers to discover integrated business applications that sync with any Square account, according to a company press release.

"Through Square App Marketplace, we have access to lots of different tools that work together to help our business run smoothly," Nicole Yeary, president and founder of Ms. Tech in Chicago, said in a statement. "We discovered SumAll through Square, and now we use it to track social metrics alongside our paid invoices. We use QuickBooks for accounting and IFTTT to automatically log all transactions in a Google spreadsheet. Access to these integrated apps lets us see the full picture and boosts our confidence in day-to-day operations."

Since launching its software partner platform a year ago, Square has added integrated apps from Intuit QuickBooks, Xero, Stitch Labs, IFTTT, TaxJar, SumAll, Fresh KDS, Shopseen, and ShipStation, according to the announcement. In addition to software partners, any developer can create purpose-built tools for sellers of all sizes via Square's platform.
