Single Click mobile operator billing service from txtNation launches in Sweden
Mobile billing and messaging company txtNation has launched its Single Click mobile Web payment service for use with Swedish m-wallet WyWallet, the company said on its blog.
WyWallet is operated by T4 Sverige, a joint venture between Sweden's four mobile telecom operators, Telia, Tele2, Telenor and 3. TxtNation will provide direct operator billing for mobile Web purchases across all major mobile networks in Sweden via WyWallet.
Because txtNation is a WyWallet-certified partner, it is able to aggregate bills, connect to merchants and provide direct mobile operator billing for purchases via WyWallet on mobile devices.
The Single Click system is intended for use with smartphones and tablets and replaces one-time PIN-based and premium SMS-based billing for mobile Web purchases, the company said.
TxtNation released its Single Click service following feedback from customers in the i-gaming, dating, PPV and VoD industries, the company said. There has been a rise in the number of service providers requiring easier mobile Web payment processes for smartphones and tablets, it said.
To use txtNation's Single Click system, customers make their first mobile operator payment online, for example using a one-time PIN. The next time they make a purchase, they are given the option of enabling Single Click payments. They can then choose a product and press "buy," txtNation said.
The comapny also said it plans to roll out Single Click in a number of additional countries over the next few months.
According to txtNation, more than 50 percent of the Swedish population access the Internet on their mobile handsets, with the figure expected to jump to more than 60 percent in 2015. "The population of the country is around 9.5 million, with a mobile penetration rate of 149 percent, meaning there is still a lot of growth in mobile Internet use likely to happen in the next few years," it said.
