RGK Mobile enters Latin America market with new payment options

RGK Mobile, a Barcelona-based provider of mobile payments, has entered an agreement with Mexico-based Claro Mobile, covering service in parts of Central America and South America and Tigo Mobile, covering El Salvador and Honduras.

RGK, which has been focused on the European and Asia Pacific markets, said the agreements brokered through carrier technology aggregator Aldeamo, represents a major expansion of its business, according to a press release. The Claro deal will expand its business into Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Ecuador.

RGK technology allows customers to make purchases over mobile devices directly through mobile phone bills, eliminating the need to use credit card payments. The company will provide SMS billing capabilities to Claro and Tigo.

The carriers will also get access to a dancing video service called "Let’s Me Dance" and a gaming platform called "Sunny Games."
