Revel Systems aims to ease airport retail checkout

Point-of-sale provider Revel Systems has announced a partnership with Pacific Gateway, an airport retailer, to implement Revel terminals integrating Expensify, an expense reporting software, at select retailers and restaurants in San Jose International Airport, LaGuardia International Airport in New York City and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

"Our partnership with Revel and Expensify is modernizing and enhancing the travel experience," Joe Waller, CEO of Pacific Gateway, said in a press release. "With Revel, we're able to raise the bar in terms of user interface and system reliability."

Pacific Gateway first implemented Revel terminals in 2016 in the San Jose and Minneapolis-St. Paul airports. The San Jose locations alone represent more than $10,000,000 in annual sales, according to the announcement.

This year, the partnership will expand to high-end retailers TUMI, Swarovski, and Kiehl's at LaGuardia and Houston. Additional Houston merchants include Adrenaline, Jo Malone, Manready Mercantile and DR34M. Conversion of the company's 15 airport stores in San Francisco will take place over the next two years, according to the press release.

"The partnership with Pacific Gateway demonstrates how we're improving travel by making it an easier and more enjoyable customer experience," Scott Betts, CEO of Revel Systems, said in a statement. "We're arming our clients with the tools to effectively improve how they run their business."
